PURE Jingles invited the legendary voice of Z100 to the Netherlands, to share his experience on twenty years of imaging and V/O work for New York’s Hit Music Station.
FUTURE
In a scenic venue, on the outskirts of Hilversum, Dave shared thoughts and views on on-air imaging, branding and creativity together with a highly interested audience. He also discussed distinctions between the views of American and European radio imaging and the future of it over the next decades.
After and informal dinner buffer, Dave continued with the second part of the evening, showing his way of working in ProTolls. He explained his preferred settings, and revelaed some tips and tricks and created a template for a ProTools V/O recording session.

I tried email PureJingles to get the template but dident get a reply. Not sure if someone else would upload it?
I’ve emailed and received the template.
It’s a .bin file of about 60ko.
But I tried for ages to open it within Pro Tools. I still don’t find how to open it.
If you have an idea, I’d appreciate.

Well, it seems I made a few assumptions that were not in order. First of all, this is a Pro Tools 8 session, which is probably not helpful to just about everyone. That was my mistake.
I am sending the good folks at VHU a PT 7.4 version that I hope everyone can open easily. I’m sure they’ll have it posted very soon.
Sorry for the problems. It was all my fault. =(

Great to hear this. I’ve heard Ryan’s podcast with Dave on Ryan on the radio. You gotta hear it. Really interesting to hear as well the contrasting views of Dave Foxx and Jeff Berlin.
When PureJingles finally sent me the file I dident have any problem opening the session and it opened fine in Pro Tools 8.
Another great session. It will take a while for me to get my head around bits of it and rework parts of the session as i dont have all the Outboard gear you where using at the time.
But, thanks once again Dave!
