Studios Peak’s sound graces a number of new radio stations

MONTREAL – March 16, 2008 – Studios Peak is making itself heard on dozens more major radio stations across Canada. Thanks to their recent work on three significant imaging projects, theme music by Studios Peak is now being broadcast on the Astral Media Radio network.

The Peak of music from yesterday and today

Studios Peak was entrusted with developing the complete sound imaging of popular radio shows Canadian Top 20 and The ‘80s Show. Canadian Top 20, known to fans as CT20, counts down the 20 most requested and most played songs in the country each week. And as its name indicates, The ‘80s Show takes listeners back to the iconic 1980s musical era.

This marks the first time that Studios Peak has worked with Orbyt Media, owned by Astral Media. Orbyt distributes syndicated radio content throughout Canada, including CT20, The ‘80s Show and top-rated shows such as On Air with Ryan Seacrest and Perez Hilton On Demand.

Peak creates more Virgin Radio images

After creating the sound imaging for the first Canadian Virgin Radio station last summer in Toronto, Studios Peak was asked to produce the distinctive sound images now resonating on the airwaves in Vancouver and Montreal, where Virgin stations were launched in early 2009.

Starting in January, the stations formerly known as 95 Crave in Vancouver and Mix 96 in Montreal have joined the ranks of Astral Media stations broadcasting under the Virgin Radio brand – and boasting sound signatures by Studios Peak.

“These three projects, each very different in terms of music format and target market, demonstrate the versatility of our creative team and our composers, as well as the diversity of our product,” says Michel Labrecque, President and COO of Studios Peak.

Since being founded in Montreal in 1999, Studios Peak has put their distinctive stamp on the sound of Canada’s largest media companies and has extended their presence around the world. In 2007 the company expanded their services by combining their talents with video post-production, television editing and production specialists Jaune Banane HD to form Groupe Peak-Banane.
