Co-founder of Alfasound passes away
The co-founder of one of the UK’s best loved jingle company has died at the age of 80.
Alan Fawkes, who set up Alfasound with Steve England in the 1970s, made up the company name with his initials, and created hundreds of jingle packages and commercials for radio stations around the world.
Gaynor Fawkes said: “We are sad to announce that Alan Fawkes, a name synonymous with Alfasound passed away peacefully on April 22nd. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father and a great friend to many.
“His musical talents were extensive and were shown not only through the jingle packages that he wrote but also through his passion for jazz. Alan reached the great age of 80”.
