Sony Academy Award winning Kiss FM (UK) imaging producer talks about energy, freshness and authenticity
AMSTERDAM – We’re happy to welcome Simon Palframan to The Imaging Days on Monday and Tuesday September 8th and 9th, 2014. Palframan has just won “Gold” together with the rest of the imaging team at Kiss FM (UK) for Best Station Imaging at the Radio Academy Awards 2014
Never Stand Still
Simon’s message is to “Never stand still”. During his session he will talk Energy, Freshness and Authenticity – and how this lies at the heart of the imaging sound of Kiss FM (UK), a station aimed at 15-34s. Taking some of his own work and breaking it down layer by layer, he’ll give insight into some of the thinking behind it and production techniques used.
The Powerful Imaging Session
Broadcast consultant Valerie Geller from the United States, will have “The Powerful Imaging Session” during The Imaging Days. NEVER be boring! Engage with powerful imaging to brand your station. Create Authentic Powerful messages that inform, entertain, inspire and persuade, based on techniques in “Beyond Powerful Radio” which will be out in audio book this fall. Geller has been working in Europe since 1991 and has worked with some of the top broadcasters and communicators throughout the world to increase audiences and create powerful radio.
How diverse can the work of a public radio imager be?
That’s one of the main questions of this seminar. Ivo Samplonius, as a radio imager for National Public Radio in The Netherlands, is faced with this question on a daily basis. From Classical Music to Soul&Jazz and from Pop/Rock to Golden Oldies. How can you easily make the switch between the diferent genres in one morning, but stay on course in the format of the station? Do they experience the same in other European countries? A seminar, filled with lots of examples, video and audio, from the Netherlands, but certainly also from abroad.
