Theo Paphitis gives Twitter boost to Pinnell Productions
Ian Pinnell, who runs creative media business Pinnell Productions, received a business boost thanks to BBC Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis.
In October 2014, Ian, who also won Gold in the Best Male Presenter category at the Hospital Radio Awards in March of the same year, tweeted Theo about his business during ‘Small Business Sunday’ event on Twitter, an initiative set up by Theo that runs weekly.
Theo re-tweeted Ian’s message to his 447k followers and as a result, interest in Ian’s freelancing skills have increased, and he has gained more than 200 followers on Twitter.
Ian is also profiled on a new website (theopaphitissbs.com) that is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners.
Speaking of the win, Ian said “I’ve been entering #SBS (Small Business Sunday) for around a year now, on and off. When I logged in again and saw I had well over 200 notifications, I thought something was broken, but turns out I had been selected as a winner! It’s been a whirlwind, enquiries have been coming in more than ever, and I’m throughly enjoying the experience, and am looking forward to going to some SBS events in the near future. ”
You can hear Ian’s work and find out more about his win by visiting the shiny new website, pinnellproductions.co.uk
Anyone looking for a re-tweet from Theo should tweet him about their business on Sunday between 5 PM and 7.30 PM and include the hashtag #SBS. Six lucky businesses are re- tweeted every Monday at 8 PM and then invited to enter their profile on the new website. This is done free of charge and the new website is sponsored by Ryman Stationery, where Theo is Chairman.
