Wise Buddah helps Orion brand Free Radio

Free Radio launched in the UK on Monday March 26 2012. The network, owned and operated by Orion Media, resulted in the rebranding of four stations in the West Midlands of England – BRMB, Beacon, Mercia and Wyvern.

On 9 January 2012, Orion announced that it would rebrand its four West Midlands stations as Free Radio from March 2012 onwards. The former on-air station brands were phased out on Wednesday 21 March 2012 in preparation for the rebrand, which took place on Monday 26th March 2012 at 7pm. The first voice on the rebranded stations was Nick Wall, a listener from Market Drayton.

Wise Buddah won the pitch to produce the new jingle imaging package for Free Radio. 11 main themes in a variet of styles form the basis of the new package which is now heard on all 4 Free Radio stations. Listen to a montage of the new jingles below along with airchecks of Beacon and Wyvern becoming Free.
